Allison Mildenberg

Owner + Director

Allison Mildenberg is a summa cum laude graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where she majored in dance and minored in dance education. From a very early age, dance has been Allison’s passion, and she has dedicated her life to both training and teaching. She began dancing at the age of 3, studying at multiple studios/camps in her youth including French Woods Performing Arts Camp in Hancock, NY and the North Carolina School of Arts. Allison was determined to further her dance education in New York City, which brought her to audition and be accepted into Marymount Manhattan College. While living and studying in New York City, she was exposed to a number of renowned teachers and dance legends that have influenced both her dancing and teaching styles. Allison spent many years teaching across a variety of studios in the NY, NJ, and PA area where she learned everything she knows about teaching, leading, and inspiring students.

In 2015, she finally opened a studio of her own— Dance Time Dance Academy. She continues to take master classes and workshops to further her dance education and also obtained her Dance Masters of America Certification in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Her expertise of diverse dance styles and teaching methods for all ages has helped turn Allison into a profound instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience.

We focus on developing proper dance technique and physical coordination while simultaneously emphasizing injury prevention and artistry. All members of our staff adhere to the studio’s philosophy of fostering individuality and student potential.

  • Courtney Conigatti began her dance training at the Professional Performing Arts School in New York City. As a dance major, she trained in various styles at the Ailey School under the direction of Hassan Blandford. After high school, she went on to study at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she earned her BFA in dance. While at the university, Courtney performed the works of many respectable choreographers such as Ronen (Roni) Koresh, Wayne St. David, Douglas Becker and Sidra Bell. In 2014, she had the opportunity to participate in the “DanceAbility” (dance for able and disabled bodies) teacher certification course in Vienna, Austria under the direction of Alito Alessi. Upon graduating, Courtney performed in Opera Philadelphia’s production of “Turandot,” choreographed by Renaud Doucet. She has been training extensively at Koresh and is a freelance dancer. Courtney loves sharing in her passion for dance and is excited to be a part of the DTDA faculty

  • Amber Hongsermeier is an interdisciplinary movement artist, educator, and dance filmmaker. She received her BA in Dance with a history minor from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where she was awarded the Porter Award for Creativity in Dance. In 2021, she earned her MFA in Dance from Rutgers University where she also worked as a part-time lecturer in the dance program. Her choreographic, performance, and educational background spans commercial and concert dance spheres. Hongsermeier has performed work by Pavel Zustiak, Kayvon Pourazar, Susan Ourada, Jessica Bostock, and Jody Sperling. With her interests in history and somatics, she underpins her teaching and choreographing with dance history and a focus on body alignment that encourages students to better understand how and why they move. She is excited to join and grow with Dance Time Dance Academy!

  • Miss Kate Sloan has loved being a part of the Dance Time family since the beginning! She has been dancing for over twenty years and teaching dance full time for the past five years. Miss Kate is a graduate of DeSales University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance. During this time, she studied various forms and styles of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, modern, contemporary and musical theatre. She studied under professional performers and choreographers through DeSales, as well as connected with many guest artists from around the country. In 2015, Miss Kate had the opportunity to take part and perform in a reconstruction of Doris Humphrey’s famous work Partita V. She also performed as part of New Street Dance group in their 2013 and 2015 repertory, and was a member of the DeSales University Touring Company. This company traveled to local schools to perform and share their love of dance in an educational setting. Beginning in 2013, Miss Kate took part in the organization and development of Dancer for a Day, a program that allows young dancers to experience what dance is like in a pre-professional and collegiate setting. Recently, she has set work on dancers involved in DeSales University’s Summer Dance Intensive, as well as performed in Convergence: Community Harmony Through Dance. She currently teaches dance full time in the Montgomery and Bucks County areas, and sets work on dancers for the Momentum Dance Company

  • Miss Olivia Wood started dancing at the age of 3 at Position One School of Dance (now Creative Motion) in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. In high school, she studied classical ballet and pointe at the Newport Academy of Ballet, home of Island Moving Company (IMC). She performed in IMC’s performance of The Nutcracker at Rosecliff Mansion in Newport, RI. In 2017, she graduated summa cum laude from Muhlenberg College, receiving her BA in Dance and Spanish. Her college experience allowed her to perform works by Megan Flynn, Teresa VanDenend Sorge, Jeffrey Peterson, and Orion Duckstein. While studying abroad in Arezzo, Italy, she studied with Rita Petrone, Giorgio Rossi, Sabine Fichter, and Carolina and Fabrizzio Basagni. In spring of 2017, Miss Olivia joined Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Company in Philadelphia, and has performed with them for the past four seasons. In addition to her work with the company, Miss Olivia performed works by Karen Fuhrman, artistic director of Grounded Aerial, at the Performance Garage and Guggenheim Museum in NYC and traveled to France with the company to earn her certification in bungee dance technique. She has also worked with Asya Zlatina, Ani Gavino, and Matter Movement Group (Dance Time’s very own Mr Teddy Fatscher and Frank Leone). In 2020, Miss Olivia joined TK Dance Lab, a virtual dance company that seeks to create choreographic works of social activism through an online platform during the pandemic.

  • Ann Corrao (Miss Annie) is originally from Westchester, New York and now lives in Philadelphia, PA. She has spent the years since her graduation developing her teaching practice as well as performing in New York City and Philadelphia! She began her dance journey studying ballet with Fronda Sobel, Simon Kasantsev, and Diana White, former soloist at the New York City Ballet. She then received her BA in Dance from Muhlenberg College, concentrating in education and choreography. Ms. Corrao was greatly influenced by her professors: Karen Dearborn, Teresa Van Denend Sorge, and Megan Flynn, to utilize her knowledge of creative movement pedagogy, somatic techniques, and knowledge of anatomy to create a unique ballet experience for her students. She has recently worked as an educator and choreographer for Standing Ovation Studios and dances for the Megan Flynn Dance Company in Philadelphia. Ann has taught Creative Movement, Ballet, Pointe, and Modern dance for all levels in Pennsylvania, New York, and Connecticut. She has also performed in works by Heidi Cruz-Austen, Jessica Lang, Trinette Singleton, Jeffrey Peterson, and Amanda Selwyn Dance Theater. Ms. Corrao has presented work at the American College Dance Association Festival and the International Dance Festival presented by Nickerson-Rossi Dance and has received her Masters in Dance from the University of the Arts, while teaching and performing in Philadelphia.   • Miss Stephanie Herbert has been a member of Dance Time Dance Academy from the beginning, dancing in the adult tap and hip-hop classes. She began teaching at Dance Time Dance Academy in the 2018 season. Miss Stephanie is a graduate of Misericordia University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degrees in Speech Language Pathology. She was a member of the Misericordia University Dance Team, performing during basketball and football games. Before college, she took many styles of dance including: jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, character and hip-hop. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and has been dancing competitively since the age of 9, even throughout college.oes here

  • Miss Liz Sekellick grew up dancing at her local studio in Horsham, PA where she was a member of the competition team and performance ensemble. She spent many years student teaching and served as a captain for her high school dance team. Liz attended Arcadia University where she became a member of the dance club, choreographing and performing in many pieces every year. She also performed at 76ers games with the dance team. She received her B.A in Psychology and currently works as an instructor at a private school for autistic individuals. Miss Liz teaches creative dance, and you can also find her behind the desk!

  • Allyson is a NYC based performer originally from Horsham, PA. She began training in dance at 3 years old and has never looked back. In 2020, she received her B.A. from Marymount Manhattan College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She regularly trains at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway, where she has assisted Elyn Collier, Chip Abbott, Kirsty Fuller, and Al Blackstone.

    Allyson is a devout member of the NYC dance and theatre communities and loves collaborating with other artists on independent projects. Recent regional performance credits include A Christmas Story (Onstage Swing) at Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, Footloose (Dance Captain/Featured Ensemble) and A Chorus Line (Maggie Winslow) at North Coast Theatre Festival.

    When not performing, Allyson finds fulfillment in sharing her knowledge and passion for dance with the next generation of dancers— choreographing and teaching at dance studios throughout the tristate area. At DTDA, you can find her teaching Broadway Camp, masterclasses throughout the year, backstage at Recital, and managing Dance Time’s social media accounts.

  • Sarah Shaulis started dancing at a young age in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Throughout the years she has studied at numerous dance studios within the area and trained in multiple styles such as Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Tap, and Hip-hop. While maintaining her busy dance schedule she also performed as a child actress at several professional theaters such and Sight and Sound Theater and Hershey’s Music Box Theater. In 2012, Sarah began her pre-professional training at Koresh School of Dance under the direction of Melissa Rector, Assistant Artistic Director of Koresh Dance Company. After graduating, she was offered an apprenticeship with Koresh Dance Company and continued her training with Roni Koresh, Artistic Director of Koresh Dance Company. She officially joined Koresh Dance Company in 2017, touring both nationally and internationally. Sarah currently teaches and choreographs at multiple studios around the Philadelphia county.

  • Frederick Johnson is an international and bilingual dance instructor. He has been teaching African dance styles, (Ndombolo, Coupe Decale and Afrobeatz) Hip Hop and Freestyle through African Movement in Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Argentina and other Latin countries for the past 10 years. He has worked with Latin Grammy award winner, Lali Esposito, as well Urbano Dance Studio and DOUP Premier Dance Studios in the heart of Buenos Aires. Mr. Fred is also the founder of Afrontalo Argentina, a company promoting and preserving Urban African dance culture throughout Latin America. In his class, you can expect to not only study movement, but also dive into the history and culture of each style, learn the names of steps, choreography and drills to develop a strong foundation for freestyle.

  • Marianne started teaching at the very young age of 13 at a family run studio, The New Dance Studio, started by her brother, professional dancer Gary Flannery. Trained mostly by her brother, Marianne had the pleasure to also study under the likes of Bob Audy, Charles White, Alan Onickel, the one and only Fred Benjamin, Lynn Simonson, Lucas Hoving, Jose LImon, Ginger Garton, the one and only Jean Williams, and Gloria Govern. Mairianne taught at the New Dance Studio for 24 years, Bucks County Community College for 8 years, as well as choreographed their musicals, and various other studios in and out of Bucks County. Marianne has also choreographed many musicals for local High School productions. Marianne is proud to have had many students who have gone on to dance for Division One college Dance Teams, and students who have gone on professionally as Rockettes, Dancers on Cruise SHips, and many who dance, or have danced, at Disney World. Marianne is happy to still be teaching, these days she specializes in Tap, Jazz, and Acrobatics. Marianne is very excited to be teaching at Dance Time Dance Academy!

  • Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Alexis Britford is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts’ high school Classical Ballet program and has a BFA, summa cum laude, in Dance Performance from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of Dayton Contemporary Dance Second Company (DCDC2) and upon graduation was promoted to the professional company, where she enjoyed seven seasons touring both domestically and internationally. Miss Alexis has had the pleasure of being featured in works by many notable choreographers, namely: Donald Byrd, Donald McKayle, Debbie Blunden-Diggs, Ulysses Dove, Ray Mercer, Ron K. Brown, Anthony Tudor and Stafford C. Berry. Miss Alexis also spent two seasons as a company member of GroundWorks DanceTheater in Cleveland, Ohio. As an independent artist, Miss Alexis performed with Lula Washington Dance Theater, Neos Dance Theatre and worked as an adjunct professor at Wright State University and Cleveland State University. Miss Alexis is in her last year of graduate studies at Drexel University as a MA candidate in the Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling program

  • Miss Caitlin began dancing at the age of 3 in various styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, and Hip Hop at the The Dance Loft in Suffern, New York where she is from. Miss Caitlin is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University where she double majored in Early Elementary and Special Education. During her time at SJU, she was a 4 year member of the nationally ranked Saint Joseph’s University Dance Team. While on the team, the hawks placed top 3 in the country for division 1 athletics all 4 years including 3 national championship wins- 2 in Hip Hop and 1 in Pom. During the day, she is a second grade teacher for the School District of Philadelphia. Miss Caitlin is so excited to be joining Dance Time and pass on her love of Hip Hop to our students!

  • Mr Stuart Weinstein, one of the most esteemed Yoga instructors in the Philadelphia area, brings over 20 years of experience to his practice and mastery of alignment, body awareness, and breath. Here at Dance Time Mr. Stuart is teaching our highly successful stretch class— helping students to strengthen, elongate, and recover their muscles after a week of dancing. He has dedicated his life to ensuring the wellness of his clients, including professional/aspiring athletes, advanced, intermediate & beginning practitioners, and students both old & young through his unique capacity to perceive and engage students innate strengths and weaknesses. Stuart’s teaching, which builds ability and confidence through creative sequencing, follows a well-developed pedagogy; Stuart enables his students to see beyond their physical limitations and to cultivate a practice sustainable throughout all stages of life. Trained by some of the most eminent Yoga gurus including Pattabhi and Manju Jois, Seane Corn, Eddie Stern, Dee Silvers, Amy Ippoliti, Desiree Rumbauh, and Michelle Synnestvedt to name a few. Stuart blends the principles of a pure Ashtanga Yoga practice with many inspired variations of movement to depend the capacity of his students physical and emotional awareness.

  • Hello! I am Miss Kim and I will be your child’s biggest fan. My teaching style encourages my students to first fall in love with dance, to make friends and have fun while honing skills. I love to tap into their energy and help them channel it in class. Outside of teaching here, I run a professional home bakery, and have been a yoga instructor for 8 years. Yoga and energy healing are a huge part of my life. I also love to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I’m a huge Survivor fan, and my favorite snack is nachos, and I am a mother of two kiddos.

  • Miss Taylor Golder graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with a B.A. in History. While at Penn State, she was a member of the PSU Altoona Dance Team, as well as Penn State Dance Alliance and Volé, the Penn State Ballet Club at University Park. She also took a variety of ballet/pointe classes during her academics at PSU. Prior to college, she spent 15 years at a local studio in Bucks County studying many styles of dance including ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop prior. She was also a member of her studio’s competition team for 10 years, traveling to local regional and national competitions. Currently she works in Warminster, PA as a Senior Administrator for a facilities company. She is looking forward to continuing her dance education and sharing her love for dance with the staff, students, and parents at DTDA!
